Did you know?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, 7 of the top 15 pesticides used in growing of conventional cotton are known carcinogens? And did you know that conventionally farmed cotton is ranked second for the most pesticide use of all crops?

Neither did we.  That’s why we chose organic cotton to make our graze™ bags and napkins.

graze™ organic uses only 100% skal-certified organic cottons.  Our organic cotton fabrics are free of the dioxins, formaldehydes, harsh chemicals, bleaches and dyes found in conventionally farmed cottons.

Organic farming uses methods and materials that have a low impact on the earth’s air, water, soil and wildlife. This benefits everyone and produces a softer, stronger, and cleaner cotton – a cotton that’s pure and safe enough to wrap your food in.

Why water based inks?

Most screen printing is done using plastisol inks.  Companies use these inks because they are simple to apply and inexpensive. But, plastisol inks contain PVC and phthalates which are harmful to the environment and have been linked to many medical conditions.

Plastisol inks also require the use of harmful solvents during the cleaning process.

Water based inks do not contain PVC or plastisol. They are non-toxic, lead free and do not contain heavy metals.

Just like organic cotton, water based inks are more expensive. But, we think our families and our planet are worth it!
